About the role

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist assists physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the room and equipment, instructing patients, monitoring their condition, and providing routine and emergency care during procedures. The role also involves helping in the orientation and training of other team members, contributing to quality control initiatives, and performing various tasks in the procedure rooms.

Responsibilities

• Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and other interventional procedures.
• Maintains sterile fields and manages inventory of procedure room supplies.
• Monitors patient's ECG, pressures, temperature, and impedances during procedures.
• Orders and maintains equipment, notifying appropriate team members for repairs.
• Coordinates and audits resources during yearly inventories.
• Participates in LEAN initiatives, NOBLE, and inter-departmental committees.
• Transports patients to and from the procedural area.
• Demonstrates good customer service skills.

Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree in a related field or completion of a US military training program with equivalent experience.
• Experience: At least 1.5 years of related cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R, Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS), Cert EP Specialist (CEPS), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), Reg Cardio Electrophysiology (RCES), Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Sp (RCIS).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation, and techniques.
• Good customer service skills.

Schedule

Shift: 4 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 5 PM).
