About the Role

Welcome to Abrazo Health Network, where making a real difference in people's lives is at the heart of everything we do. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will perform direct and indirect functions in the Cardiac Cath Lab, assisting physicians and staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care. You will scrub, monitor, and circulate in all invasive procedures, manage inventory, and respond to cardiac alerts and STEMI cases.

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus based on eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient; complete pre, intra, and post-procedure assessments.
• Inform nurse/MD of any changes in patient’s condition.
• Develop an individualized plan of care for procedures, including specific patient problems, needs, and scheduled procedures.
• Provide teaching and guidance to patients, families, and staff.
• Execute x-ray for desired views (e.g., abdominal aorta gram, runoff, division), store and print images.
• Set priorities for patient care based on needs and available resources.
• Identify and perform appropriately in emergency patient care situations.
• Set up and monitor IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump).
• Assist with set-up, insertion, and care of temporary and permanent pacemakers.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Required: Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent; Basic EKG course.
  • Preferred: Bachelor in Radiology or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: 6 months in Cath Lab/Cardiac Intervention Lab.
• Certifications:
  • Required: BLS (Basic Life Support). ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within 6 months of hire.
  • Preferred: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification.
