Cath Lab/IR Technologist (CVIR), Day Shift, Cardiovascular
About the role
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced CVIR Technologist for their Cardiovascular Department. The position requires a minimum of 1-year diagnostic imaging experience (such as Radiology tech/Diagnostic Technologist) and is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Current Adventist HealthCare employees are not eligible for this bonus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers, physicians, and support staff to deliver quality patient care and customer service
- Demonstrate initiative toward safety and risk management issues
- Assist Interventional Physicians in all CVIR procedures using various interventional tools
- Show working knowledge of contrast administration/contraindications and plan for adverse reactions
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Contribute to the time management of the department by being punctual and efficient
- Be flexible to accommodate all customers with on-call services during off hours
- Participate in new product evaluations and be willing to share knowledge with peers
Qualifications
- High school or GED
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT accredited School of Radiography OR completion of an accredited cardiovascular program
- 1 years of diagnostic imaging required (ex: Radiology tech/Diagnostic Technologist)
- Current ARRT Certification or RCIS Certification
- Current Maryland Board of Physicians Licensed Radiographer or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
- BLS and ACLS certification (ACLS required within 1 year)

- $15,000 sign-on bonus paid in 3 installments (at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years from hire date)
- Former employees must be separated from AHC for at least six months before becoming eligible if hired into a bonus-eligible role
Pay Range
$37.17 - $55.76
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours/week, typical daily schedule: 4 ten-hour days Monday through Friday (7a-530p)
