Cath Lab / IR Technologist (Cert) - Cardiac Cath

About the Role

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum.

Responsibilities

• Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
• Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
• Prepares power injector and contrast medium.
• Injects contrast during procedures and monitors injector rates/quantity of contrast administered during all procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licenses as required by State.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $42.01 to $68.65. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
