Catering Manager

Role Overview: This position involves delivering excellent catering services by planning, executing, and managing catering business activities. Responsibilities include meeting with clients, coordinating menus, food preparation, delivery, and service, as well as handling invoices and payments. It requires building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners to meet revenue goals. Key Duties Engage with customers to review catering options, negotiate pricing, and ensure profitability.Collaborate with chefs to meet dietary and menu requirements.Manage food orders, coordinate with departments for timely preparation and delivery.Oversee staff responsible for food prep, packaging, and setup at venues.Develop invoices, ensure accurate payments, and maintain customer records.Maintain a clean, stocked, and compliant department environment.Lead department management including staffing, training, performance, and budgeting.Develop and monitor department goals; manage eCommerce site for seasonal items and gift baskets. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years catering, retail, restaurant, or customer service experience.Valid driver’s license with ability to operate company vehicles.Strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of retail systems and catering operations.Leadership capability, ability to work hands-on, and travel up to 50% for meetings and events. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied environments with exposure to weather and noise.
