We’re seeking a skilled and service-driven Event Captain to lead event teams and execute incredible experiences across the Valley. As an employee-owned company, you’ll be part of a passionate crew dedicated to creating top-tier food and beverage experiences at events ranging from luxe weddings and corporate galas to high-energy festivals and sporting events.

About the role

As an Event Captain, you’ll be the lead operator on-site, ensuring that every event runs smoothly from setup to strike. You’ll manage logistics, direct front-of-house staff, communicate with clients, and uphold our high service standards. Your leadership helps bring our bold, chef-driven events to life.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations, culinary, and sales teams pre-event to finalize logistics and address any last-minute adjustments.
  • Oversee proper loading of vehicles and packing of event equipment and food.
  • Lead event setup, service flow, and breakdown with confidence and attention to detail.
  • Supervise and mentor event staff, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and high performance.
  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and handling issues as they arise.
  • Manage food and beverage service, guest experience, and real-time event adjustments.
  • Complete post-event reports, handle gratuity and payments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and equipment is properly handled and returned.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from events safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in food & beverage or catering service required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of event setup, service standards, and logistics.
  • Tech-savvy with daily internet access to review schedules and communications.
  • Valid Food Handler Card (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred).
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification (TIPS, Title IV, or ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Must have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving company vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods.

Schedule

Fast-paced, flexible, and always on the move—indoors and outdoors, weekdays and weekends. Operates in a variety of settings: kitchens, warehouses, and event venues across the Valley.
