The Role Are you an experienced catering professional with a passion for creating unforgettable events? Do you thrive in dynamic, high-energy environments where you can take initiative and lead a team to success? If so, we want you to join our team at the MAC as a Catering Banquet Captain!

Responsibilities

• Implement Flawless Event Execution: Ensure exceptional execution of all catering functions, from setup to service and breakdown.
• Lead with Poise: Supervise and coordinate service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Consistently enforce club policies and procedures fairly and effectively.
• Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet and communicate with clients throughout events to meet or exceed their expectations. Anticipate and resolve issues quickly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Oversee Quality Control: Inspect event areas, table settings, and equipment for cleanliness and proper setup. Maintain regular communication with the sales team and provide detailed reports on events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Catering Experience: 2-5 years in catering, with a solid understanding of food and beverage service. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Communication & Technical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to use kitchen equipment.
• A Stellar Mindset: Positive, calm, and professional demeanor with the ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and our Annual Meeting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Competitive salary based on experience.

Schedule

Part-time, fully on-site role at our club in Portland, OR. Available evenings, weekends, and holidays, including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and our Annual Meeting.
