Catering Coordinator

About the role
Responsible for performing a range of food service duties, including cooking, prepping, and general sanitation. Develops customer relationships to maintain client satisfaction. Sets up and serves events that are both casual and executive in nature, with sizes ranging from 12 to 150 guests (occasionally larger). Provides advanced technical experience in food preparation, cooking, and following menus and recipes. Guides other catering staff when needed and greets all customers with personal service to ensure superior satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Setup and serve catering events, both casual and executive
- Cook, prep, and maintain general sanitation standards
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction
- Guide and support other catering staff as needed
- Greet customers and provide superior service
- Transport food and equipment to catering functions
- Answer phones and take requests when needed
- Make deliveries across campus using various transportation means
- Schedule and coordinate duties independently across all shifts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering is required
- Culinary experience is required
- Hospitality experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and transport food and equipment
- Advanced technical experience in food preparation
- Skilled in cooking and following menus and recipes
Schedule
Primary schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Hours are based on events, which may occasionally extend into the evening.
Pay
$22.00 per hour
