About the role

We are seeking a Category Manager – Site Services to manage and develop procurement strategies for on-site services supporting a production/manufacturing facility. The role will focus on negotiating with and managing vendors across various site services, including:

• Gardening
• Piping
• Waste Management
• Canteen Services
• Other services supporting manufacturing site operations

The Category Manager will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing suppliers, negotiating agreements, driving cost savings, improving total cost of ownership, and partnering with senior stakeholders across a global, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Category Management & Strategy
  • Manage approximately $68M in Site Services spend across the Americas.
  • Develop and execute category strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business and operational teams to understand current and future sourcing requirements.
  • Identify and manage global procurement projects aligned with cross-functional business objectives.
  • Develop and continuously evolve productivity and cost-savings plans for the category.
  • Identify opportunities for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements.
• Supplier Management
  • Manage and continuously develop the supplier base to deliver optimal Quality, Service, Technology, and Value (QSTV).
  • Lead efforts to identify, qualify, and develop alternate or second-source suppliers.
  • Negotiate and implement supply agreements that provide optimal commercial and operational terms.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers.
  • Use QBRs to: advance supplier-supported business objectives, develop supplier capabilities, address supplier performance gaps, drive continuous improvement.
• Cost Savings & Continuous Improvement
  • Deliver significant cost savings and cost avoidances.
  • Develop continuous improvement plans and productivity initiatives.
  • Maintain a pipeline of new cost-saving ideas, in-process projects, and projects generating realized savings.
  • Support annual productivity goals through new sourcing and optimization opportunities.
• Supplier Performance & Issue Resolution
  • Address supplier performance failures through root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve service, quality, and performance issues.
  • Pursue claims and other appropriate corrective actions when required.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• E-Sourcing & Procurement Technology
  • Create and manage effective e-sourcing events.
  • Maintain procurement catalogs to improve productivity and sourcing efficiency.
