About the role

The Collection Manager will supervise a designated collection team, ensuring goals are met while complying with firm policies, the FDCPA, and state consumer protection laws. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with strong communication, organizational, and litigation skills, proven as a successful motivator and process manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the designated collection team: train, assign schedules, manage time-off requests, monitor performance, and ensure team and individual goals are met.
  • Create procedures to ensure goals are met, as set by clients or Senior Management.
  • Comply with Zwicker & Associates, P.C. policies and procedures, the FDCPA, and state consumer protection laws.
  • Provide regular updates on collection metrics, trends, and team performance.
  • Track all payments and notify financial operations of any posting issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in call center management, preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in consumer collections, preferably third-party.
  • Knowledge of the FDCPA and State Consumer Protection Laws.
  • Ability to perform all collection duties.
  • Professional and courteous interaction with consumers, coworkers, and clients.
  • Effective decision-making and coaching/mentoring skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals or groups.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
  • Ability to complete a minimum 40-hour flexible workweek schedule.
  • Ability to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to lift five pounds or greater.
  • Ability to sit 90% of the workday at times.
  • Ability to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed.
  • Ability to concentrate and use critical thinking.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 per year, plus applicable bonus.
