Category Insights Analyst
Sales and Promotional Analysis
Conducts category reviews and analysis, including category management, space management, product evaluation and promotional planning for strategic accounts.
Analyzes retailer and shopper behavior, leveraging data and insights for actionable recommendations.
Identifies trends and opportunities for brands and competitors and shares within the sales, marketing and forecasting teams.
Manages and analyzes syndicated and non-syndicated category data resources.
Develops insights, fact-based selling stories, and best practices for sharing with retailers.
Identifies opportunities to create analytics communications, reports and dashboards for the marketing and sales teams.
Develops materials and presentations to assist sales team in driving Blount brand across key retailers.
Pairs with Sales team to build A/B testing methodologies to better understand promotion incrementality and fatigue.
Trade Management and Performance
For assigned retailers, ensures trade and promo activity is captured and reflects the latest available retailer knowledge.
Manages and monitors retailer-level trade expenditures and forecasts to provide actionable insights for the sales team and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university required: MBA preferred; 5+ years of related experience in a brand or category management role with a CPG company being a strong advantage.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups and more).
- Experience with Tableau, Syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) and Power BI.
