What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leadership Experience — Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on fostering technical excellence in metal and alloy processing.
- Technical Knowledge — Working knowledge of melting, casting, finishing, process control, quality systems, and production reporting, including an understanding of how metals and alloys behave during industrial processing.
- Software Proficiency — Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint to support technical documentation, process analysis, and project planning.
- Communication Skills — Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Time Management — Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a demanding, fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education — Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemical engineering, operations, manufacturing, metallurgy, or a related technical field involving the study and improvement of metals and alloys.
- Industry Experience — 3–5 years of technical and managerial experience in melting, casting, finishing, or related manufacturing operations, ideally involving metallurgical analysis or alloy development.
- Quality Systems — Experience implementing statistical process control, corrective action processes, and advanced quality systems to ensure metallurgical consistency, product integrity, and process reliability.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with production, maintenance, scheduling, quality, and operations teams.
- This role may require flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours as production needs arise.
