About the role

Malco Theatres is seeking motivated individuals to join our team at the Fort Smith Cinema. We offer a variety of positions including Cast Members, Box Office Cashiers, Concession Attendants, and Ushers/Doormen.

Responsibilities

• Cast Member:
• Create a welcoming environment for patrons.
• Sell tickets to movies and special events.
• Provide movie and event information.
• Accurately sell tickets, accept payments, and make change.
• Operate Point of Sale terminals and ticket printers.
• Operate and communicate effectively on a two-way radio.
• Follow MPA film rating guidelines when selling admission tickets.
• Follow theatre policies for selling admission tickets.
• Answer the telephone courteously and professionally.
• Maintain and clean the Box Office area.
• Watch for safety issues and report to management.
• Box Office Cashier:
• Greet patrons cheerfully.
• Provide movie, special event, and general theatre information.
• Accurately sell tickets, accept payments, and make change.
• Operate Point of Sale terminals and ticket printers.
• Operate and effectively communicate on a two-way radio.
• Follow MPA film rating guidelines when selling admission tickets.
• Follow theatre policies for selling admission tickets.
• Answer the telephone courteously and professionally.
• Maintain and clean the Box Office area.
• Concession Attendant:
• Provide services to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Serve food in proper pre-determined portion sizes.
• Maintain adequate food/supplies.
• Clean concession, including serving area continually.
• Use popper to prepare popcorn as needed and attend concession equipment.
• Clean concession area before and after business hours.
• Ensure the appearance of all equipment and serving counters.
• Assure menu items are prepared in sufficient quantities to satisfy volumes.
• Receive deliveries when assigned.
• Usher / Doorman:
• Collect admission tickets.
• Direct patrons to correct auditoriums.
• Help maintain clean facilities such as lobbies, hallways, auditoriums, and restrooms.
• Greet patrons and assist with general questions or refer patrons to management.
• Manage crowd control and assist patrons in finding seating when necessary.
• Clean and inspect auditoriums.
• Assist with patrons' special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs.
• Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules.
• Assist patrons with questions or complaints.
• Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.

Requirements

• Cast Member:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive attitude and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow MPA film rating guidelines.
• Box Office Cashier:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive attitude and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate Point of Sale terminals and ticket printers.
• Concession Attendant:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive attitude and customer service skills.
• Ability to serve food in proper portion sizes.
• Ability to clean and maintain concession area.
• Usher / Doorman:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive attitude and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage crowd control and assist patrons.
• Ability to maintain order and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Cast Member:
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions.
• Box Office Cashier:
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions.
• Concession Attendant:
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions.
• Usher / Doorman:
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions.
