About the Role

The Casino Host enhances the growth of gaming revenues through the development of our customer base, maintains relationships with valued gaming guests, and markets our gaming product to potential high-limit guests.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests, provide exceptional customer service, and encourage guests to enroll in our New Card sign program.
  • Follow all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with co-workers, table and slot team members, supervisors, and guests.
  • Interact with marketing in hosting special events.
  • Arrange special services for players with proper play.
  • Meet and greet players on the casino floor at special events or promotions.
  • Make sound complimentary decisions based on tracked customer play.
  • Greet and host customers, maintaining the highest levels of courtesy, friendliness, and hospitable attitude throughout.
  • Provide hands-on real-time service for VIP customers that have relationships with player development team members.
  • Demonstrate exceptional guest services to both internal and external customers.
  • Remain informed of competitive promotional methods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Casino Marketing/Hosts, Sales, or Account Management preferred (Marketing, Luxury Hotel Services, or other Sales experience is a plus).
  • Minimum of Two (2) years of guest services experience, sales, or marketing preferred.
  • Ability to think independently in making decisions to maximize customer service experience and program profitability.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent networking abilities.
  • Avid member of the local community, including commercial and industry awareness.
  • Ability to gracefully resolve challenging situations.
  • Experience in a casino and/or hotel environment preferred.
  • Strong telemarketing skills.
  • Resourceful and highly motivated in seeking out new VIP opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively across all departments.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Willingness to adhere to all Louisiana gaming regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work any shift and any day when necessary.
  • Ability to work extended hours during special events, including limited overnight travel.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to move quickly around the property.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and work at a desk.
  • Ability to work independently and proven to be self-motivated.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Ability to continuously maneuver around the office and casino.
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests’ needs.
