Responsibilities

  • Observe Operations: Monitor activity of staff and patrons to verify compliance with rules, procedures, controls, and other requirements.
  • Utilize Industry Systems: Work with electronic and manual recording and information systems as well as casino gaming devices including slot machines.
  • Analyze Information: Review recordings, reports, and other documentation to identify issues that may require further action.
  • Prepare Reports: Write incident reports to communicate findings, potential violations, and recommendations for next steps when appropriate.
  • Assist Patrons: Respond to questions and help patrons with the self-exclusion process as needed.
  • Support Enforcement Actions: Refer or recommend administrative, legal, or criminal actions to the appropriate offices or authorities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, accounting, or a gaming-related field; or
  • Two years of experience performing gaming assignments related to slot machines, gaming software, surveillance, or sports wagering; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in incident report writing.

Legal Requirements

Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.

Pay

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin at the starting annual salary of $56,541 (before taxes).

Schedule

  • Full-time employment.
  • Shift work, 40 hours per week.
  • No telework option available for this position.
