About the role

As an Audio/Visual Technician, you will set up and operate audio and video technical equipment for presentations and live entertainment venues. You will report to the Audio/Visual Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up recording equipment, mixing boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, and video monitors.
• Tape down and dress all loose wires and cables.
• Operate technical equipment for live events, including video, audio, and basic lighting.
• Ensure AV equipment is operational; repair or clean equipment as needed.
• Manage and label broken equipment and report issues to the AV Manager.
• Verify delivered equipment and room set-up against the event order.
• Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
• Answer inquiries concerning the use of audio-visual equipment, such as microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, and video monitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Solid technical background.
• Working knowledge of PC computer software programs.
• One year of AV experience with an understanding of integrated audio, video, and control systems.
