About the role
This position is responsible for the set up and operation of basic to small-scale audiovisual systems within The Post Oak Hotel in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete client satisfaction. The role reports to the AV Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure flawlessly executed events through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of general audio visual equipment, including projection, flipcharts, basic audio systems, and lighting.
- Read house plans and other job site-related documentation.
- Perform basic wiring and connectivity tasks adhering to low voltage standards.
- Troubleshoot audiovisual systems as needed.
- Develop basic computer skills and competency with in-house job management software.
- Pay close attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement and system wiring.
- Provide excellent quality of installation and customer experience while meeting industry standards, completing projects on time, and staying under budget.
- Review sales orders, product lists, and scope of work prior to deploying equipment.
- Maintain daily job site cleanliness and adhere to builder site requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Perform local travel to job sites.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including working with high-profile and high-demand clients.
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- 3+ years of audiovisual experience.
- 1+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand or stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at ladder height.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Pass a background check.
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
