Cash Application Specialist

We are looking for a motivated Cash Application Specialist to join a team in Florida in a contract-to-permanent role. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys fast-paced, high-volume work and is eager to build expertise in cash application and accounts receivable processes. Training will be provided, making this a strong fit for an early-career, detail-oriented candidate at the entry level with a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn. The position offers the chance to contribute to daily payment activity while supporting process improvement initiatives and other operational projects. Responsibilities: • Apply a high volume of customer payments accurately and efficiently within established timelines. • Record and reconcile incoming cash transactions to ensure account balances remain current and correct. • Post payments to customer accounts and investigate discrepancies when amounts do not align with remittance details. • Assist with accounts receivable activities by maintaining organized records and supporting the resolution of unapplied cash. • Participate in special projects aimed at improving workflow efficiency and strengthening payment processing operations. • Support ongoing efforts to streamline and automate cash application tasks as new tools and processes are introduced. • Communicate with internal teams to clarify payment information and help resolve posting issues promptly. • Experience in cash application, cash posting, payment posting, accounts receivable, or a closely related finance support function is preferred. • Willingness to learn new processes quickly and adapt to a high-volume transactional environment. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter and review financial information accurately. • Dependable work ethic and a proactive approach to completing daily assignments. • Basic proficiency with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and other office software. • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members across departments. • Entry-level candidates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
