About the role
The Case Manager Navigator supports the most vulnerable and chronically homeless individuals living in designated encampments through the Mayor's Inside Safe initiative. This role involves conducting outreach, providing case management, and ensuring clients are linked to necessary services and permanent housing.
Responsibilities
- Engage and provide services to homeless individuals
- Develop trusting relationships with clients
- Interface with partners for services such as health, mental health, and housing
- Assist clients with obtaining necessary documents for housing applications
- Ensure clients are linked to all benefits for which they are eligible
- Identify and refer targeted clientele to appropriate services
- Maintain and update client files and records
- Attend case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to address clients' needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or two years of equivalent experience in homeless services
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, and domestic violence
- Working knowledge of social service agencies in Metro LA and LA County
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively
- Computer literacy and proficiency with database systems
- Passion for working with the homeless population
Qualifications
- BA degree or two years of equivalent experience in homeless services
- Experience working with homeless populations

Pay
Hourly, non-exempt, with competitive compensation based on experience.
