Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and provides case management services to individuals within the community via Crisis Mobile Team.
  • Performs administrative functions in support of case load.
  • Develops and implements case management service plan for individuals.
  • Represents the needs of persons with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorder issues.
  • Affixes to maintain individual’s records in a professional manner and in accordance with all SpectraCare policies and procedures, Alabama Administrative Code, CMS, and all other applicable regulating and contractual entities.
  • Courteous and respectful towards individuals, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Fulfills duties of Nurse Delegation Program.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of psychiatric and substance use disorders in the adult population and/or knowledge of addiction as a primary/secondary illness.
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity.
  • Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention, and interventions common to acute psychotic individuals and/or individuals with substance use issues as well as, to non-violent crisis intervention practice.
  • Knowledge of available community resources.
  • Knowledge of educational methods appropriate to adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders.
  • Ability to design, implement/administer individualized behavioral services in regard to case management services.
  • Ability to provide services in all facilities, in the community and other locations as deemed necessary.
