CASE MANAGER (LMSW)

About the Role

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility providing acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting since 2001. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs. We provide a caring and healthy environment that gives individuals a chance to make positive changes.

As a Licensed Case Manager (LMSW), you will provide quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to Spring Mountain’s populations, serving as a member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the hospital’s treatment program and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously under pressure.
• Attends educational sessions to continually update knowledge base related to behavioral health and social work issues.
• Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
• Coordinates referrals for services and utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellent customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism.
• Works with Discharge Planner to develop, implement, and document a safe discharge plan.
• Provides group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other groups for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Current licensure in the State of Nevada; also acceptable licensure: CSW-I, LCSW.
• Experience with age-specific inpatient setting preferred.
• Experience in taking psychosocial history and case management.
• Knowledge of developmental psychology of adolescents and adults and the capacity to identify pertinent clinical information.
• Possess knowledge of clinical issues related to mental health patients and their discharge planning.
• New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
• Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
