Case Manager II (Mental Health Court)
Brief Description
The Mental Health Court Case Manager coordinates all services provided to mental health court clients. They participate in staffing meetings, attend court proceedings, assist with case management needs, facilitate services, and monitor clinical pathways.

- Establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with staff, youth served, administration, public school personnel, and the community
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- Provide trauma-informed care and adhere to the Sanctuary Model
- Perform specialized training and certifications as required
Responsibilities
Attends weekly court proceedings to advocate and support clients. Assists with clients' case management needs, including housing, employment, inpatient treatment, and other basic needs. Facilitates individual and group services such as wellness and rehab. Meets with clients at various locations to address immediate needs and provide referrals. Monitors clinical pathways and service delivery, ensuring proper and timely maintenance of case management records.
Requirements
- Case manager experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field from an accredited college/university
- Case manager II certification or eligibility to obtain level II certification
- Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action
- Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Professional presentation and ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships
- Good working knowledge of community social service resources, basic crisis management skills, behavioral health resources, ability to provide trauma-informed care and a commitment to the Sanctuary Model components
- Ability to communicate clearly and in an emotionally intelligent manner
- Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency
- Specialized training and/or certification in mental health services or related field as may be required
- Ability to consistently practice and promote the Sanctuary Model’s seven commitments

- Must be able to move from location to location easily, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds
- Must be able to communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs
- Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities
- May be exposed to diseases, illness, or infection
- Must be able to use basic office equipment such as: telephone, calculator, computer, etc.
