About the role

The Human Services team at Public Consulting Group (PCG) focuses on improving lives through solutions that support state and municipal human services and economic development agencies. This role involves designing and implementing plans, conducting assessments, managing participant progress, and maintaining detailed records.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops plans for participants, such as determining and assigning work activities, educational and training programs.
  • Conducts assessments for barriers and skills.
  • Determines eligibility and need for supportive services including child care, transportation, and ancillary services.
  • Manages participants' progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans.
  • Aids program participants in developing vocational goals.
  • Makes sure clients comply with program regulations and attend assigned work activities.
  • Updates client case files in systems according to procedural requirements.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of program procedures and implements them appropriately.
  • Maintains knowledge of community resources, labor market, and training resources.
  • Maintains regular contact with clients placed in employment.
  • Completes necessary county paperwork and forms.
  • Communicates with employment organizations and educational programs.
  • Makes sure all performance metrics are met to achieve participant outcomes.
  • Performs case management duties with customers in-person and on-site.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; alternatively, a 2-year degree combined with 2 years of sales/client accounts experience may be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree.
  • 2 to 4 years of customer relationship management or case management experience.

  • Ability to work with and relate to participants and demonstrate active listening skills.
  • Display a professional level of empathy for participants and respect for cultural differences.
  • Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
  • Excellent customer relations techniques, and superior verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with federal, state, and county agencies as well as the general public.
  • Ability to partner with and motivate participants with both physical and/or mental disabilities.
  • Ability to maintain a record-keeping and follow-up system.
  • Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and on multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

$22.50 - $26.50 per hour.

Schedule

This is a full-time (Mon-Fri) position from 8am-5pm.
