About the role

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a full-time Case Aide Substance Use to join our team at Elgin Residential Rehabilitation. This position assists clinical staff in providing services to clients and supports coverage at Healthy Start Recovery Home.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an encouraging and therapeutic environment on the unit.
  • Monitor surroundings and observe clients during medication times.
  • Communicate any changes in a client's presentation or needs to a member of the clinical staff.
  • Complete all required EHR documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity.
  • Make client referrals and linkages.
  • Maintain familiarity of and adhere to emergency procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in substance use field preferred.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Annual TB test required.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation and review required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency preferred.

Qualifications

$16/Hourly.

Schedule

Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8:00PM to 8:30AM.
