About the role
Bethany Christian Services is a nonprofit organization working across 29 states to support families, foster care and adoption, and refugees. The UC Case Aide position plays a crucial role in ensuring children's safety, love, and connection through various services.
Responsibilities
- Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social agencies.
- Effectively report the behavior of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team.
- Provide assistance with intake and discharge related transportation, including travel between states for reunification with sponsors.
- Assist the medical team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide language interpretation services for clients attending appointments in the community.
- Supervise youth in the classroom, as needed.
- Maintain professional boundaries and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure a trauma-informed environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, subject to the specific needs of each program/department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of trauma and willingness to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with a trauma-informed environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to provide language interpretation services.
- Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Computer skills sufficient for performing essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S., along with proof of adequate insurance coverage.
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle.
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
- Integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care.
- Relevant experience and/or qualifications to work with these clients and clients with special needs, as necessary.

- Pass a medical examination, including results of TB tests and immunization records.
- Subscribe to and integrate the agency’s Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $X per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
