About the role
Bethany Christian Services is a nonprofit organization working across 29 states to ensure children are safe, loved, and connected through family. The organization strengthens families, supports foster care and adoption, and walks alongside refugees with compassion. As a Case Aide, you'll play a crucial role in carrying out this mission.
Responsibilities
- Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, foster homes, and other social agencies
- Aid in scheduling medical and dental appointments for clients
- Draft and maintain notes about interactions and concerns observed during visits, sharing notes with assigned case managers
- Maintain and monitor home visits with clients
- Complete paperwork and phone calls as requested by case managers
- Schedule and prioritize work duties in collaboration with supervisor and team members
- Report transportation issues that hinder timely requests
- Attend trainings and meetings as assigned by supervisor
- May assist with file audits and small purchase requests
- Essential job responsibilities may vary based on specific program/department needs
- May be required or asked to participate in Bethany-sponsored events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service
- Strong attention to detail and reliability with time-sensitive deadlines
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S.
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
Qualifications
