About the Role

The Carside Server delivers food and beverages to guests, ensuring a courteous and timely experience while adhering to Applebee’s service standards. This role fosters a culture aligned with TSFR’s Core Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and interact with every guest to create a friendly, upbeat work environment.
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested.
• Take guests' orders in person or via phone and input them correctly into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests either in their vehicle or in the dining room.
• Pre-bus tables, restock, and reset working areas to maintain cleanliness and comfort.
• Sweep and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collect payment from customers promptly using QR codes or POS.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks.
• Anticipate guests' needs to facilitate an enjoyable experience.
• Verify accuracy and proper packaging/labels for all carside to-go orders.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to communicate with guests verbally, in person, or over the phone.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Legal age to serve alcohol.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., contracts, operating instructions, procedure manuals).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Problem-solving skills for practical situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and use of hands/fingers to handle objects.
• Occasional lifting/moving of objects up to 30 pounds.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility and willingness to accept change.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

The role primarily operates in a restaurant setting. Occasional travel to other locations in a company vehicle may be required.
