About the role

The Carside Server exceeds expectations by serving food and beverages to guests while accommodating their needs in a courteous and timely manner, following Applebee’s Basic Service Steps and Carside Service Standards. The role fosters a culture aligned with the TSFR Roadmap, including Our Core Purpose, Vision, Mission and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and interact with every guest to create a friendly, upbeat work environment
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
• Take guests’ orders either in person or via phone and input them correctly in the POS
• Deliver food and beverages to guests either in their vehicle or in the dining room
• Pre-bus tables, restock and reset working areas, and sweep to keep the environment clean and comfortable
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using QR code or POS
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Anticipate guests’ needs to facilitate an enjoyable experience
• Check all carside to-go orders for accuracy and proper packaging and labels

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
• Good attitude toward teamwork and a strong work ethic with willingness to take initiative
• Ability to communicate with guests verbally in person or over the phone
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, and reach with hands and arms; may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Psychological Demands: Frequently required to work in a team environment, handle a fast-paced environment, and be flexible and willing to accept change; must also have the ability to communicate with others, both verbally and in writing

Work Environment

On occasion, travel in an automobile to other locations in the field may be necessary, either alone or accompanied by a co-worker.
