Carpentry - Window Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.
• Provide timely and high-quality repairs of customers' products, such as screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.
• Coordinate required return visits; convey needed services, materials, and labor.
• Perform post-installation inspections.
• Anticipate obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs, and/or code performance; recommend solutions.
• Promote the company's services.
• Maintain your technical and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.
• Previous experience servicing windows and doors.
• Previous experience in exterior replacement products.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Manage overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.
• Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
• Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
• Travel within the radius of UWD's locations.
