About the role

The Window Install Technician is responsible for installing windows and doors provided by PARR to meet customer needs. They address issues during shipping and installation, respond to customer complaints, and ensure product satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize safe work practices
  • Review work orders for scheduling
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships
  • Respond quickly to customer complaints and concerns
  • Load trucks with windows and materials
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Complete and check paperwork accurately
  • Bill and invoice for parts and services
  • Report to appointments on time and perform duties efficiently
  • Discuss repairs and issues with customers
  • Represent Parr with care of company vehicle and driving
  • Manage safety risks and report them
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with wood and vinyl window assembly, installation, and repair
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge of window and door products
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take on responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs
  • Working knowledge of personal computers
  • Class C driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support

  • Manage stress and interact positively with others

Physical Requirements

  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
  • Lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Carry and climb a ladder
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Drive a vehicle when necessary
