Carpenter II

About the role

Creighton University is seeking an experienced Carpenter II to join our Facilities Management team. This position offers stable, full-time day hours (Monday–Friday) with great benefits and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry construction, installation, and repair work
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Estimate cost, time, and materials for projects
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with standards and safety regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4–5 years of carpentry experience or completion of an approved apprenticeship program plus one year of experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work safely at heights of 20+ feet
• Basic computer proficiency
• Possess, for at least two years, a valid United States drivers license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles from the Vehicle Operator state of residence

Schedule

• Full-time, primarily day shift, Monday–Friday
• Some on-call, evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required
