Carpenter
Summary/Objective
Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects. Applicant must be familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts. Must be able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal.
Essential Functions
- Erect scaffolding, safety barricades, and temporary ladders or framework for elevated and below-ground operations.
- Read and interpret project plans, sketches, and specifications to determine exact dimensions and material requirements.
- Repair or replace damaged timber, steel, or concrete support structures on existing infrastructure.
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.

Supervisory Requirements
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- Field field-based role.
- Working on heavy civil and highway construction sites.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination.
Physical Demands
- The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
Travel
The role requires no travel.
Required Education And Experience
- 2-3 years of experience.
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment.
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
