Carpenters are versatile in the construction industry, with workers usually doing many different tasks. Stoddard Enterprise, LLC. has two classifications of carpenters, rough and finish.
Classifications
Rough carpenters build rough wooden structures, such as concrete forms, scaffolds, and temporary frame shelters/walkways, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions. They construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools. Finish carpenters build cabinets, display cases, shelves, install running trim, door frames, doors, hardware, and other miscellaneous items that would be a finished product.
