Summary The carpenter is responsible for fabricating, laminating, and finishing large scale projects. This is an on-site position based out of our St. Paul facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Fabricate large-scale exhibit environments, executive briefing centers, showrooms, corporate lobbies, and store fixturesManage workload on multiple projects seamlesslyUtilize creative problem solving to find the best approach to the fabrication of each projectMaintain accountability for manufacturing the final exhibit outcomeSuccessfully complete projects within the allotted hours assigned to the jobInteract with the design-detailing department Education & Experience 5+ years manufacturing experience in the wood working or cabinet making industryKnowledge of high-end wood fabrications as related to furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures fabricationStrong knowledge of woodworking materialsPossess strong organizational and communication skillsConsistent attention to detail, and a dedication to excellenceAbility to work in a cold/warm warehouse environment around moving equipmentAbility to stand on feet for 6-8 hours per dayAbility to reach about and below shoulder, push and/or pull, kneel, squat, bend/twist, and climb ladders What We Offer The Freeman Company provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
