Carpenter

About the role

This position is responsible for carpentry construction and repair work assignments at SWC.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and replacing wood and metal doors, windows, and screens.
• Maintaining physical plant roof to include minor repairs, shingles, and flat rubber.
• Building and repairing cabinetry, shelving, partitions, etc.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

• Possession of a certification of completion of a carpenter apprenticeship approved by the Department of Workforce Development OR formal recognition of status by the appropriate international or local trade organization OR informal training and experience equivalent to the formal apprenticeship and journeyman status (documentation of proof will be requested).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy to drive a state vehicle.
• Knowledge of current building and fire codes.
