Job Knowledge and Technical Skills
- Perform carpentry tasks, including but not limited to demolition framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, millwork installation, and exterior finishes in a workmanlike manner.
- Identify and use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for various carpenter tasks.
- Apply carpentry techniques to address structural damage.
- Execute repairs according to engineering and design specifications.
Quality of Work
- Ensure all work adheres to a high level of craftsmanship and meets company quality standards.
- Conduct work in a planful manner to minimize errors and rework.
- Consistently complete projects to the satisfaction of clients and supervisors.
Work Efficiency and Time Management
- Complete restoration tasks within established timeframes, managing priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
- Adept with a positive attitude to changing project deadlines and requirements.
- Contribute to each project by organizing tools, materials and workflow to enhance efficiency along with productivity.
On-Call Duty Performance
- Attend scheduled on-call team meetings.
- Maintain availability and communication with team leaders.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls when directed.
- Participate in mitigation activities including but not limited to water and fire mitigation, demolition, and cleanup.
- Maintain a positive attitude with team members and clients while handling high-pressure situations.
Communication and Reporting
- Use Company provided software solutions to:
- Provide clear and timely updates to relevant supervisors and production members about project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Document work performed, including photos, notes, and material usage.
- Communicate openly with team members to ensure collaboration and task alignment.
Training and Development
- Participate in company-provided training sessions.
- Capitalise on learning opportunities to improve carpentry and restoration skills.
- Stay informed about advancements in restoration technologies and tools.
- Apply newly acquired knowledge and techniques to enhance job performance and client experience.
Presentation, Professional, and Customer Service
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance while wearing company provided uniforms, footwear, and identification.
- Keep vehicles clean, tidy and orderly.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Represent the company positively through respectful interactions with clients and colleagues.
Attitude and Teamwork
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by demonstrating a positive attitude with all Sid Grinker employees, including those outside of your department.

Safety and Equipment Management
- Adhere to Company safety standards.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of tools and equipment to confirm safe operation.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on the jobsite.
- Report and document damage of client and company property in a timely manner.
- Inform supervisor and human resources of workplace injuries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience and/or Training: Minimum of five years’ carpentry experience.
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid Driver’s License
- Technology/Equipment: Carpenters are required to bring the following tools with them: Smart Cellular Telephone with Data Plan, Hand Tools, and Power Tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience and/or Training: Ten years’ experience in carpentry, computer proficiency, OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid and CPR Certification, Blueprint reading, Lift Certification, Heavy Equipment Training, Other Certification and Trainings.
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid Driver’s License
- Technology/Equipment: Carpenters are required to bring the following tools with them: Smart Cellular Telephone with Data Plan, Hand Tools, and Power Tools.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, from 50-100 lbs., necessary to perform job functions.
- Ability to work in high and/or tight places.
- Maintain balance in all situations.
- See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
- Cordinate movement with eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including outdoor and indoor exposure to heat and cold.
- Accurate vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites.
- Ability to communicate in person and over the telephone.
