Carpenter

About the role

Perform facility repairs as assigned by supervisor and/or TMA Work Order System.

Responsibilities

• Construct and install cabinets, counter tops, and shelves
• Repair furniture, tables, chairs, etc.
• Plan, layout, and construct walls as required
• Repair and replace suspended ceiling grid and tile
• Install and repair wood, VCT, carpet, and linoleum flooring
• Repair and replace locks, door closers, panic devices, and automatic door hardware
• Maintain inventory of supplies and advise supervisor of items to be ordered
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Five (5) years’ experience working as a carpenter
• Experience in cabinet making
• General locksmith skills
• Ability to learn all aspects of the trade and acquire other maintenance skills as required
• High School Diploma or GED

The duties of this position require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location during unrestricted operations with very limited or no opportunity for remote work arrangements.

Pay

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year (Salary Grade: 107).
