About the role

Robins & Morton is looking for a Carpenter to work on various projects, constructing, repairing, and maintaining permanent and temporary structures using both hand and power tools. You’ll work under the leadership of a jobsite manager and contribute to high-quality construction while being part of a team that values collaboration, respect, and family-like camaraderie.

Responsibilities

  • Take off material quantities accurately.
  • Build square, level, and plumb project tasks using basic carpentry tools.
  • Construct safety provisions, including scaffolding, gang ladders, perimeter railings, fall protection, temporary covers, and interior protection.
  • Install interior finish items such as wall protection, doors and hardware, toilet accessories, cubicle curtain track, TV brackets, and lockers.
  • Use various carpentry tools safely, including saws (band, circular, jig, reciprocating, chop, compound miter), drills (electric, cordless, hammer), and cutting torches.
  • Identify and request necessary PPE before starting tasks.
  • Operate basic equipment, including all-terrain telescoping forklifts, backhoes, skid steers, and tractors.
  • Cut and install interior/exterior wood and metal backing as required.
  • Read construction documents and build tasks according to provided plans.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in carpentry, including hanging and taping.
  • 2–5 years’ experience installing building specialties, cabinets, windows, countertops, commercial doors, frames, hardware (DFH), and/or Division 10 items.
  • Previous experience in hospital construction preferred.
  • NCCER Training/Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
