Position Summary RL James Exteriors is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our field team on exterior restoration projects. In this role, you'll perform wood repair and replacement, framing, trim, and related carpentry as part of larger restoration scopes, often working alongside stucco, waterproofing, caulking, and painting crews. This is hands-on field work for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and works safely. Key Responsibilities Perform rough and finish carpentry on exterior restoration projects, including framing, sheathing, trim, siding, fascia, soffit, and deckingIdentify and replace wood rot, water-damaged, or deteriorated structural and finished materialsRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specificationsMeasure, cut, and install materials to specification using hand and power toolsRepair or rebuild balconies, railings, stairs, and walkways as required by scopeCoordinate with other RL James Exteriors trades to keep projects on scheduleMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work site in compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsAccurately report time, materials, and progress to the crew lead or supervisor Qualifications 2+ years of carpentry experience, preferably in commercial, multi-family, or exterior restoration settingsProficiency with hand and power tools of the tradeAbility to read and interpret basic construction plans and specificationsComfortable working at heights and on scaffolding, lifts, or laddersReliable transportation and consistent attendanceValid driver's license preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularlyFrequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reachingAbility to work outdoors in varying Florida weather conditionsAbility to work at heights Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay, commensurate with experience (DOE)Health insurance options availableSteady, year-round workOvertime opportunities WHY JOIN US Steady, year-round work with a company that values craftsmanship and reliability.Competitive hourly pay with real opportunity to grow based on performance.Health insurance and supplemental insurance options available.Overtime opportunities and annual bonuses & incentives.Work alongside experienced foremen and crew members who will invest in your growth.A team culture built on quality, accountability, and treating people right.
