Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (ranging from two hours to two days)
• Communicate with customers to explain needed work and manage expectations about scope and costs
• Deliver a great experience to create life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way
• Work independently, often alone
• Provide excellent customer service, request reviews, and collect payments
• Use necessary tools and technology to document jobs following the Mr. Handyman Way process
• Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman
• Own your own tools
• Be insurable for driving a company vehicle
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods
• Maintain a professional appearance and company-provided vehicle

Skills

As an experienced Handyman, you must have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:

• Carpentry work
• Bathroom improvements
• Kitchen improvements
• Painting, both inside and out
• Drywall work, minor and major repairs
• General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law)
• Floor installation and refurbishing
• Familiarity with building codes
