Carpenter

About the role

The Carpenter is responsible for building and repairing carpentry-related items throughout the property while delivering a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standards and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance carpentry, cabinetry, furniture build and repair
• Create shop drawings
• General hotel room repair and maintenance
• Hang artwork and signage
• Finish carpentry, including work with brass, plastics, laminate, commercial door hardware, moldings, and adhesives
• Operate hand tools and related carpentry equipment (must provide own hand tools)
• Perform miscellaneous carpentry repairs throughout the property
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Assist other trades when necessary
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested

Requirements

• Five years of Carpentry Shop experience
• Five years of Journeyman Carpentry experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age requirement is 21
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) specific to position responsibilities
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete standard forms and reports
