Carpenter

About the role

We are seeking a Framing Crew Carpenter for projects in and around the West Bend area. The position involves rough framing of both residential and commercial projects, setting of panelized walls, floors, trusses and roofs, erecting scaffolding, climbing ladders, measuring and cutting materials, and reading building plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough framing tasks for residential and commercial projects
• Set up panelized walls, floors, trusses, and roofs
• Erect scaffolding and climb ladders for assembling structures above ground levels
• Measure and mark cut lines on materials using various tools
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, and power saws
• Read and understand building plans
• Keep job sites, company vehicles, and trailers clean
• Utilize crane signaling and common carpenter skills
• Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and contractors
• Participate in safety programs and follow safety rules

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One to three years of experience in framing, construction, installing doors/windows, building materials, or similar industry
• Ordinary ambulatory skills: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate weights of 5-100lbs
• Able to use power tools, tape measure, read and understand work instructions, materials, and communicate effectively
• Great hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
