Responsibilities

Formwork Carpenter (Concrete)

• Construct and assemble formwork systems for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and slabs
• Precisely cut, measure and install construction materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates, and other fixtures in formwork
• Removal and wrecking of formwork after concrete has cured
• Interpret construction drawings and documents

General Carpenter

• Build, install, and maintain handrails and temporary enclosures
• Install interior blocking, doors, frames, and hardware
• Install interior protections, floor coverings, and waterproofing
• Understand plans and specifications to guide construction
• Precisely cut, measure and install construction materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Collaborate with plumbers, electricians, and other professionals on construction projects

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years commercial carpentry experience
• Work in compliance with safety protocols and enforce company standards
• Perform work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to work at elevated heights and lift up to 75 pounds
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety on the jobsite
• Commitment to train, mentor, and share knowledge with apprentices or junior carpenters
