Caretaker Senior Residence

About the role

The caretaker's primary responsibility is to be available for on-site emergency maintenance. They must respond to all alarms on alternate week nights, alternate weekends, and on-call holidays. Other tasks include maintaining the trash compactor during on-call times, communicating with the monitoring company, and performing other security tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good skills in various light maintenance functions are necessary.
• Safety consciousness is essential.
• The ability to work and relate well with older and disabled persons is required.
• The ability to work independently without direct supervision is needed.
• The ability to follow a written schedule of daily tasks is important.
• Transportation to serve as on-call staff after regular 1st shift hours is required.
• The ability to change to different tasks quickly as an emergency requires is necessary.
