About Our Workforce Programs

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.

Position Concept

The One-Stop Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the Eckerd Workforce Development Team and is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the local Job Center/WIOA One-Stop Career Center(s) to ensure seamless, high-quality service delivery to job seekers, employers, and partners. This position reports to an assigned Eckerd Manager and works closely with local funder staff to facilitate collaboration among required WIOA partners, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies, and support the Local Workforce Development Board in meeting performance goals. Key responsibilities include managing calendars, arranging and promoting events, and maintaining effective relationships with core partners and community service agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that center staff are appropriately deployed and that staffing ratios comply with the service plan.
  • Coordinate and relay coverage plans for office closures and outages.
  • Ensure that all partners are working together to meet or exceed contractual performance goals within the guidelines of the operating budget and program deliverables.
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming customer experience at all regional One-Stop Centers.
  • Monitor supplies, order inventory, and report needs accordingly.
  • Communicates facility and partner needs to Eckerd manager and funder contacts.
  • Assists with scheduling and delivering One-Stop Partner meetings.
  • Assist in maintaining agreements (MOUs & MOAs) with partners in the region.
  • Establishes and maintains monthly and quarterly reports to ensure the timely and accurate flow of information including providing information to the region's ADA & EEO Coordinator.
  • Assists in establishing linkages with other community service-related agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, counseling, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience working with the target population is preferred.
  • Experience with social services in the community, particularly in workforce, employment and training.
  • Demonstrated proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, database tracking systems.
  • Facilitate travel through the assigned area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy. Eckerd Connects adheres to California law CA A.B. 2188 regarding employer drug screening, for California residents.
  • Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Regional Travel required.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $33.00 - $34.00

Schedule

Part-Time up to 29 hours per week. Rotating Schedule with flexibility to work rotating Saturdays based on operational needs.
