About the role
The Career Center Coordinator supports the Career Center at Stevens Institute of Technology, serving students in various academic disciplines including engineering, sciences, business, management, humanities, and the arts.
Responsibilities
- Support the Associate Director in executing career center operations and initiatives.
- Aid in the execution of all Career Center events, including reservations, budgets, room layouts, assignments, orders, and marketing.
- Ensure operational efficiency and customer service standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and student waiting areas.
- Provide administrative support for departmental front desk operations.
- Hire, train, and supervise up to 10+ Student Assistants.
- Provide developmental feedback to Student Assistants.
- Answer the main phone line and manage messages.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 1 year of work experience, including internships.
- Self-starter with goal achievement and deadline meeting abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High level of professionalism with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Advanced proficiency in virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or MS Teams.
- Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter adaptable to change and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $41,400.00 - $55,200.00. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations.
