The Student Services Professional III/Career Advisor position at California State University, Chico, is dedicated to providing comprehensive and independent student advisement and guidance in career planning and related issues. Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate workshops, seminars, and presentations on career planning and related issues.
• Provide comprehensive and independent student advisement and guidance in individual and group settings.
• Facilitate programs that encourage and support student efficacy and success.
• Advising students in any of the seven colleges.
• Working pro-actively in a team environment to develop and implement programs.
• Recognizing program needs and developing creative and realistic approaches to meet those needs.
• Collaborating with other professionals to provide quality programming.

Requirements

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field.
• Three years of full-time professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
• A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
• Preference given to applicants with career advising experience in a University setting.

Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.
