Care Team Manager
About the Role
As a Care Team Manager (RN) at Suncoast Hospice, you will be an integral component of the leadership team. Since 1977, Suncoast Hospice has served neighbors across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties with compassionate end-of-life care. Responsibilities
- Promote and model the organization’s vision, mission, and values, making decisions and implementing strategies aligned with business goals, industry trends, and external forces.
- Develop and execute goals and strategic plans for your area of responsibility and the broader organization to achieve exceptional results.
- Lead and manage a diverse clinical and non-clinical staff (nurses, home health aides, etc.), attracting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team. This includes assessing performance, coaching, counseling, and completing formal evaluations.
- Oversee staff and make sound decisions with patient/client care in mind, developing and implementing best practices to enhance the patient/client experience.
- Seek and respond to feedback from internal/external customers to improve overall service and patient care, managing service recovery efforts thoroughly and timely.
- Develop and execute an audit process to ensure regulatory and accreditation requirements are met.
- Analyze financial metrics and implement strategies to guide business decisions in order to meet or exceed goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; Master’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of hospice experience with at least two years of supervisory management experience preferred.
- Seven to ten total years' experience as an RN preferred.
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License (required only if driving is chosen as the mode of transportation when reassigned to another facility; alternative transportation options are available at the colleague’s own expense, except for mileage reimbursement when traveling between facilities on company time).
Certifications
- Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Current certifications as applicable to your professional discipline.
