Care Partner (CNA) - 6th Floor Med/Surg Telemetry - Full Time 12 Hour Night Shift (Union)

About the role

The Care Partner supports nursing staff in delivering patient care, performing clerical tasks, organizing the unit environment, and managing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and sets up equipment

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Current CNA certification OR enrollment in a nursing program with equivalent training AND passing the “Fundamentals of Nursing” course with a B or better OR completion of a relevant nursing program from abroad OR medical training in military services
• Experience: Six months to one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting (as defined by the unit)
• Ability: Pass a 4-hour USC Verdugo Hills Hospital EHR data entry training course
• Skills: Basic medical terminology and abbreviations knowledge, ability to prioritize tasks under pressure

Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications: Active CNA certification OR enrollment in a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program OR medical training in military services OR current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association OR AB508 (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification

$23.00 - $30.87 per hour
