About the role

The Care Experience Coordinator provides administrative, clinic, and health education support to ensure a welcoming and positive student experience. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students accessing Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Wellness & Health Promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students in person and by phone, providing a welcoming and supportive experience
  • Schedule appointments, manage check-ins, and coordinate patient flow
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in electronic systems
  • Enter and update data in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related databases
  • Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Manage provider schedules and support meetings and daily operations
  • Process billing information, collect payments, and maintain related records
  • Order and maintain office and clinic supplies
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for office technology and report complex issues
  • Provide students with health information, program guidance, and referrals
  • Support outreach and health education efforts to promote wellness services
  • Educate students about policies, procedures, and privacy rights
  • Aid in tracking clinic activity, generating reports, and collecting patient feedback
  • Support quality improvement efforts and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a patient care coordinator or similar in medical or behavioral health settings
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in a higher education setting providing direct student service
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with highly confidential information
  • Experience as a patient care coordinator or similar in an integrated health setting
  • Experience providing customer service via phone, including call centers
  • Demonstrated experience improving customer service metrics and experience

Pay

Classification: Health Education Assistant
Anticipated Hiring Range: $5,555/month - $5,895/month (Step 11 – Step 14)
CSU Salary Range: $4,557/month - $6,508/month (Step 1 – Step 20)
